I found Seth and Cecile on the 1930 census in Pocatello, Bannock County,
Idaho. It said he was born in Utah in 1905 and has the middle initial L. On
the 1910 census in Smithfield, Cache County, Utah Seth L, at age 5 is with
parent Thomas, who was born in Utah around 1877 to parents born in England.
The prior household of that census has Alfred and Mary Chambers of England.
There is also a Seth J age 7 with parents Alfred and Maryann. Alfred's
parents were born in England, too. On the 1900 census they are all in
Smithfield census, Alfred and Mary with children that include Thomas, Alfred
is living next door are enumerated. That census states that he came in 1853
to the United States. The 1870 census of Smithfield has Alfred in the
household of William and Clarissa Chambers all from England.
On the 1851 census of England in St Philip and Jacob, Bristol,
Gloucestershire William and Clarissa and the family are listed. William and
Clarissa were on the 1841 census as well, with no children. Try ordering
film for St Philip and Jacob in to your local family history center Film
numbers 1595984, 1595985, and 1595986 cover from 1837-1852. They left in
