Here's addirional info from my cousin Steve on the Chambers in MO.
Good Morning Cathyanne,
I was doing a little poking around this morning, and found this;
From the 1850 TEXAS CO. CENSUS , didn't know if you had this or
not. From
the info from the library, it shows EZEKIEL CHAMBERS and ELIZABETH
CHAMBERS
married April 12, 1835.
CHAMBERS, Ezekiel 34 m FARMER TENN
Elizabeth 33 f TENN
Nancy Jane 12 f MO
Johnathan 11 m MO
Martha Ann 10 f MO
David J. 8 m MO
Sarah Catherine 4 f MO
Mary S. 1 f MO

David J. Chambers also shows as a PVT in Co. L 73rd Regiment, Missouri
Militia - formed June 10, 1863 (age 21 )
Could this Ezekial Chambers be the son of William C. Chambers, Sr. and
Elizabeth Metcalf ? His age in this 1850 census puts his birth around 1816
Also have from 1870 TEXAS COUNTY CENSUS;
CHAMBERS, E 69 m w Farmer 1500 500 NC
Nancy 64 f w kh NC
Hope this has been of some help to us.
Talk at ya later,
Steve
--------------------
Hi again Cathyanne,
Just a supplement to my earlier e-mail.
Company L 73rd Regiment Enrolled Missouri Militia was a Union Army Regiment
formed June 10, 1863, and was ordered into service Oct. 1, 1863. This
regiment served until the end of the war, and saw service under different unit
designations.
Among the 82 men and 3 officers were;
Martin Gouge
Corporal 33yrs
David J. Chambers
Private 21yrs
Henry Chambers
Private 23yrs
Moses Wilhite
Private 22yrs
I have always had a huge interest in military history, I can't begin to
explain why it fascinates me the way it does. I spent 4yrs active in the US
Marine Corps ( 75-79 ) and subscribe to military history book clubs.
Anyway, enough of that, I'm gonna go see what else I can dig up!
Talk to you again soon,
Steve
