"Mother Cumberland-A Harvest of Memories: Reunion 2003"
A reunion for anyone with an ancestor of any surname who lived in what was
Cumberland County, PA during the 1700's. This includes any and all counties
who trace their parentage to Cumberland County and counties from which
Cumberland was formed.
Date: July 18, 19, 20, 2003
Place: University of Shippensburg, Cumberland Co., PA
Brief Outline of activities:
Friday the 18th of July
All-day Genealogy Seminar - speakers from all over Pennsylvania
Evening historical program
Individual family meetings
Saturday July 19, 2003
Frontier Settlement, DNA testing (mouthwash swab-NO blood draw), Colonial
crafts and demonstrations all day, Revolutionary and French & Indian War
Military and Ranger units, Living History Presentations and classes all day,
evening historical program.
Sunday July 20, 2003
Ancestral Memorial Service at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, one of the
oldest in the County. Many of the earliest graves pre-date the Revolution.
