MtDNA is non-gender specific and crosses family lines. If used in conjunction with Y-DNA
(37 markers or higher - higher numbers narrow the results considerably) tests, it can
pinpoint with greater accuracy certain lines in your family tree using the "whole
database" capability at FTDNA/Y-Search.

My Chambers are relatively new arrivals - Wesleyan minister George Hall Chambers born Co
Durham Uk 1842, buried Sherman, Grayson County 1898. At least 2 of his 4 children John
Alexander (1864 Cumberland UK - 1952 Broward County Florida) & Allan Herbert (b1868
Staffs UK - last found in 1930 Minnesota)continued to live in the US. I am no good for dna
as Chambers is my paternal grandmother's father
