Thomas E. Chambers, Sr., 68, of Greene Township, died Wednesday February 13, 2013 at St.
Vincent Health Center. A resident of Erie,Pa, all of his life he was born August 3, 1944 a
son of the late Elmer and Marjorie Duryea Chambers. Tom was owner of TC Auto Sales and
Service and co-owner of the Route 8 Auction House. He was a member of Arbuckle Christian
Missionary Alliance Church and enjoyed bowling with the Chambers-Long Brothers Bowling
Team. He also enjoyed stockcar racing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death
by five sisters, Dolores Sayers, Susie Grygier, Wanda Olson, Louise Edwards, and Martha
Chambers; and four brothers, Elmer Chambers, Joe Long, Paul Long, and Richard Chambers.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Mackay Chambers; three daughters, Tammy Chambers, Missy
Wojonarski and her husband Neil, and Chrissy Yilek; four sons, Thomas Chambers Jr., and
Brian, Stephen, and Jonathon Herbstritt; one sister, Naomi Chittester; one brother, Walter
Long; man!
y grandchildren; a dear friend, Al Troup; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call
at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Friday from
2 to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of services there at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be
private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions
can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
