Hi,
Yes, I know that Luzerne Chambers married John Kelly (Keely). Emeline Bliss Chambers was
her mother and Phillip W. Chambers was her father. A source I have, written about 1897
mentions Luzerne as a child of that family and only stated that she was already deceased.
Three children were listed for that couple. Weir was one. I did try to find the father and
children in further census data but I have been unable to do so.
My great grandmother was Mary (Mazie) Minerva Chambers, sister of Luzerne. I did notice
the spelling was crossed out and corrected in the 1880 census but I could not confirm the
correct spelling until your posting.
I am not at home right now and do not have access to my database where I am. I will be
returning home late Wednesday night and can contact you with the exact info I have after
that.
Just to let you know though that you have two Revolutionary War ancesters through Emeline
Bliss Chambers and a long line leading to the Pilgrims and all the way back to Europe.
We have to be cousins and I really look forward to corresponding with you.
Please contact me at mpeanut123(a)msn.com and I will respond to you privately!!!
Thanks for contacting me.
Mary Jean
