Seeking information on Moses Chambers, bSC around 1795 or 1798. I find him in Polk Co. Tn
working as a miner in 1830, Jackson Co. Ga. in 1850, in Hancock Co. Ga. in 1860 and living
next door to my ggf James Clifton Chambers in 1860. JC' first wife was Sarah Busby
and second wife Lizzie (Elizabeth Hannah b Tn 1853). Thomas Chambers, son of James related
that we had relatives in Burke Co. NC and Pickens Co. SC. He also related that some of
the Chambers from GA, SC, and Burke Co. migrated to Boonesville Or boonesboro, Ky.
I've found records fo some Chambers from Boonesboro, Ky rafting down the river into
Tn.
Also via the Chambers DNA project, I've been able to make contact with relatives that
lived in Cades Cove, Tn.
According to my gf Charles (Charley) Noah, the family is of Irish decent and moved south
from PA in the 1700's. I've been able to find some Chambers that moved to Burke
Co. NC from Rowan and Iredell Co. NC but can not make any connection with my family.
Anyone provide any clues or help??
Thanks,
Randy Chambers
