You're right, the list has been quiet, so ... HELP ...
Since the list has been quiet, I would like to ask all of you if you can be
some help to me. This is a long story that I am going to try to make short.
In 1940 my husbands mother, Velma Chambers Keeling, became ill and gave away
all of her children. She had a set of twin boys, Ronald and Gerald
Chambers, born 1934. A daughter, Wanda Chambers, born 1939. My husband,
Harlan Dale Keeling, born 1940. There was another boy (Chambers) born
possibly in 1936/37. This was in Mansfield, Wright Co., MO. My husband was
born in Mountain Grove, Wright Co., MO.
In 1984 my husband found out that he had another family. We found Ronnie
and were able to see him many times before he died in 1994. We found Gerald
when a coroner from Minneapolis called us and told us that he had died
there. That was 1990. We found Wanda, but she had passed away at the age
of 9 years.
We have been searching for the other boy. It is rumored that his name is
Charles. We have been told that he was given to a man and his wife, the
Pearle (Slim) Covington's (the Pearle is a man's name). The Covingtons
moved to Exeter, CA, (they worked picking grapes) found the weather too hot
and said they thought they would move to Yakima, WA (they were going to pick
apples). We haven't had any luck finding them there.
We have been searching for "Charles" for many, many years. We would like to
find him. We assume that he is going by the name of Chambers.
Does anyone on the list know our "Charles?"
