Looking to connect with anyone who might have information on the following
Josephine and other possible kin:
Josephine Chambers seems to appear on the 1870 Jackson Co AL census in the home
of David Wenrick and wife, Manerva. Also in the home is a William
Wilson/Willson, age 68 born SC. I believe William to be the father of the above
Manerva Wenrick. The spelling of David's Wenrick surname is questionable as is
the last name of Josephine. Josephine's surname is show as incomplete by the
transcriptionist. A David Wenrick married a Manerva Wilson in 1869 Madison Co,
AL and I believe them to be the above couple.
My paternal line is Wilson and I'm looking to establish a connection between
this Josephine Chambers and the Wenrick or the Wilson surname. I believe William
Wilson could be my gg Wilson grandfather. The info I have on this family is as
follows:
William Wilson was born ca 1801 in SC; wife Sarah born ca 1812 in SC. May be
from the York or Abbeville SC area. I have no maiden name for Sarah. I believe
that William, Sarah and their children left SC and were in GA by 1850. William
and family appear on the Walker Co GA 1850 census. More children were born after
arriving in GA.
NAMES OF WILLIAM'S CHILDREN: Benjamin W. E. Wilson (ca 1829 SC); Mary M. (ca
1837 SC); Abbey L. (ca 1838 SC); Martha A. (ca1839 SC); James (ca 1841 SC);
Susy/Suzy C. (ca 1843 GA); Jerry M (ca 1845 GA) ; Minerva/Manerva J. (ca 1847
GA); Sarah E. (ca 1849 GA); and Abraham/Abram (ca 1851-1852 GA).
By 1860, this family was in DeKalb Co AL. Sarah does not appear so I assume she
has died. The birth state for some of the children is incorrect. Apparently some
of the children have married and moved away:

I believe the above **Minerva** to be the earlier Manerva Wenrick on the 1870
Jackson Co AL census. I have not been able to find Manerva, David or Josephine
after 1870, nor have I found any of the other Wilson children.
Would like to connect with anyone who might help me with more data on any of the
above people.
Thanks,
Paula
