I have tried telephone directories in every location that I know the cousin lived but that
was 60 years ago. I did find one social security death notice that is quite probably the
cousin. His name was/is Richard S. Hirsch and if the death notice I found was correct, he
died in 2003 in Redwood City, San Mateo, California.
I have posted on all the forums I have found for Albert Hancock Schwartz (husband's
father) and for Harry but there are hundreds of 'Harry' Schwartz and without more
information that has been futile.
I would love to find out that the Doris Chambers I mentioned in the 1910 census in
Indiana is for certain Albert's mother for there is a lot of information on that Doris
Chambers family! That would make my work so much easier, but I have not been able to
confirm that is the correct Doris. I am so hoping someone on the Chambers membership list
will know something about the mother.
According to the cousin's letter in 1948, Albert's mother was killed in a car
wreck and he and his brother, Leonard, went to live with 'others' after Harry, the
father, found he could not cope. No indication what happened to Harry in the cousin's
notes.
I have not been able to find any death information on a Doris Chambers Schwartz to meet
the time line....or anytime for that matter. And of course, absolutely no way to confirm
any information on a 'Harry' Schwartz.

Have you tried the online telephone info for the cousin? Hlso, he might
have died and may be listed in the social security index at rootsweb.
These are just suggestions. I would suggest (if you haven't already
done this) that you post to the Schwartz Query Board at rootsweb and at
Genforum.com. You might also check out
Gencircles.com.
