Hi!
Does this Upper Canada Land petition concern the John Chambers you are
looking for? [The age may refer to the fact that he is at least 21 years
old... and not his exact age...]
http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/microform-digitization/006003-119.01-e...
[about 4 pages in all - number 148]
If so, he was the son of Abijah Chambers of Saltfleet and had brothers
Abijah of Clinton; Amos of Saltfleet; Robert of Saltfleet; Daniel of
Puslinch; and Henry of Saltfleet.
[re book: William D. Reid's "The Loyalists in Ontario - The Sons and
Daughters of The American Loyalists of Upper Canada", page 58]
One of Abijah's petitions... mentions wife Mary Hensinger [number 213]

According to trees on the net, this Abijah had connections to Sussex
County, New Jersey. [Caution: The trees I looked at had obvious errors and
need work.]
Hope this helps,
Stephen
[P.S. Not my Chambers family]

I'm looking for additional information and the parents of John
Chambers,
who was born in the United States, May 6, 1771 and died in Dumfries
Township, Brant County, Ontario, September 15, 1845. He was married to
Hannah, last name unknown, who was also born in the United States. They had
at least two children: Benjamin born about 1820 and Patrick born about 1798
in Ontario.
I have wondered if John and Hannah came from either New Jersey or
Pennsylvania.
