I have researching the Chambers family in Texas for several years now, James Edward-Elisha's son by Louise Morrell, was my paternal GGF, and until I came across your family tree last night I kept running into dead ends, nothing made any sense, and I certainly couldn't prove any of it.
But you could have knocked me over with a feather when I found the letter you have posted on your tree, "What I know" by Alma Chambers. Al was my paternal GM's sister; we called her "Aunty" when I was growing up. Even after reading it I thought it was "too good to be true" and was skeptical that it was indeed my Alma Chambers, but some of the names listed rang true, so I emailed a copy to my father's cousin (Earl Chambers' daughter) and she confirmed it.
Francine, I can't tell you how MUCH it means to us both! Even she had never heard the family history details outlined in the letter, and she told me she had asked "Aunty" and my GM Loyce about the Chambers history, but was told-just like in the letter-that J.E. didn't want to know, afraid of what he might find.
I'd love to stay in contact; I know I will have a million questions when I get all this information processed, and I will gladly share anything I find. Thank-you SO VERY much!

Paul is pictured in the 1923 Summit, yearbook of Decatur Baptist College of Decatur, Texas, and is a junior. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.
