I have 3 marriages for Charles.
Gillette (or Juliette)Stephenson, May 20 1907 Hamilton Co.
Stella Pinnick, Feb 4 1914, Hamilton Co.
Catherine Wilda Gibson, April 30 1919, Hamilton Co.
Charles's son John Edward Kleem passed away this year in Las Vegas. Google him and you'll find the death notice. No mention of sisters or half-sister.
I'll nose around a little more and see what I can find.

I am descended from the Beamer family in Cincinnati. My grandmother was married to Clinton Beamer. She died in 1920 when my mother was 9 weeks old. I believe she was previously married to Andrew Kleem's son Charles M. The marriage occurred in 1907 and her name is listed as "Gillette Stepheson" on the marriage record. They apparently had a daughter named Hedwig (Gillette's name is "Julitta" on Hedwig's birth record). All three are shown in Cincinnati in the 1910 census with Hedwig at 3 mos old. Do you have any information on Charles's first marriage? They apparently divorced because he remarried in 1914 to Catherine Gibson and had several more children. I can find nothing on what happened to Hedwig after her mother died. I appreciate any info you can provide. Thanks!

Posting a reply to a message from 2006. I come from the Beamer family in Cincinnati. After years of research, I believe I've discovered that my grandmother was Gillette Steveson who married Charles M. Kleem in 1907. She died in 1920 when my mother was 9 weeks old. In 1910, they had a daughter named Hedwig. Charles is a son of Andrew Kleem and Sarah Chambers. I believe your mother Gladys may be his child from his 1914 marriage to Catherine Gibson. I wonder if you have any information on Charles Kleem's wife Gillette? Hedwig's birth record shows her mother's name as "Julitta." Her last name might be Stevenson--"Steveson" is listed on the marriage record but it may be a misspelling. I appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks!
