Seeking any documentation regarding James Chambers who was born about
1795 (maybe Ohio).
James married #1 Sarah Carter (b. 7/22/1798 in NY). They had at least 3
known children: James H., b. 1816; Charlotte, b. 12/18/1817; and Enos,
b. 1832. I'm sure there were others during the long period between
Charlotte and Enos. Sarah d.6/30/1849.
James then married #2 Catherine Ann Unknown and they had one son,
Roland, b. 1867, d. 1907.
James, Sarah and Catherine Ann are all buried in the South Bloomfield
Cemetery, Morrow Co, Ohio.
I believe (but, have no proof at this time) that James' parents were
Nathan Chambers and Sally (Sarah?) Mathews of Isle of Wight in VA.
Any information greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Unfortunately I don't know who her parents were... even her birth place is up in the air. Missouri seems to be the best bet but I've also seen TN and even Holland, although I doubt that.
Does she fit into your family tree some how?
Thanks for responding!

LeMira Chambers married Edward Bursma in Missouri. I have reason to believe they are the parents of my great-grandfather Henry Bursma. He was the husband of Lillie Belle Adams Bursma Hill. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters who later used the name Bursby and Busby.I have found no mention of Henry Bursma beyond the 1900 Tx Census, any help greatly appreciated.

Dear Ivy,
I have a John Chambers who immigrated from Ireland to Pennsylvania in 1767. He had a son James Chambers born in 1789 in Virginia. I wonder if Benjamin and James are possibly related?
James Chambers moved to Missouri by 1820. He is still there in the 1840 census record and has his father John living with him. John is listed as a Revolutionary War veteran. At one point in the pension records it says John went to live with his son William Chambers in Butler, Ohio.
I don't know if there might be a connection there between Benjamin and William.
I hope some of this information might be helpful to you.
Susan

Hi,
This is my family line too and I have a ton of information on them.
William and Sara moved from TN to Tunica MS before the war where they had
a
plantation. During the war, they lost four sons and Sherman burned down
the
plantation. Also, Sarah Catherine Davidson came originally from NC, and
her
father evidently was from the supposedly influential White family. Most
of
this came from my grandmother's files that were provided by the DAR. If
you're looking for something more specific let me know. I have ~reams~
of
info. Jackie
