Debbie,
I have just begun researching the Chambers family myself and they have a definite Cole County connection. The James Chambers I have was a son of David Chambers and Rebecca McKinney. (I am researching the McKinney family). He was born in TN in 1814 so it is obviously not the same James but perhaps they are connected? Ironically he had a daughter named Mary Ann but she was born in 1848, which would have made her 32 on the 1880 census.
If you discover a connection with any of these, please feel free to contact me and we can compare notes. My e-mail listed is still valid.
Thanks,
Jan

I knew a gentleman a few years (about 29) ago named Al Chambers. I thought he might have been from Los Angeles but he married a lady named Anita (Culver) I believe. I married their son Donald Robert Chambers in Virginia. They had another son named Craig.
I am not sure whatever happened to them.

Thanks in advance,

Hey Debbie,
My line of CHAMBERS is thru Wm. C. Chambers, Sr. & Elizabeth Metcalf, who
came to Cole Co., MO in the 1830's from Campbell Co., TN. Thru their son,
Julius Amos Chambers, Sr. & Sarah Gouge, who migrated to Texas Co., MO in
the 1850's.
I have an Elizabeth Chambers, dau. of Wm. C. Chambers, Sr. who married
Ithamus Lampson Mar. 4, 1841 in Cole Co., MO. I don't have any children
listed for this couple.
Steve Yerby

I am trying to find info on Alice Chambers. She was my g-grandfathers sister so would have been born 1880 or -.
Her maiden name could have been Miller and have been born in Il.,Mo.or Wi. Unfortunately, the only real clue I have is that she had 2 sons named Rowland and Freeman.
