CHAMBERS Bible
The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
Philadelphia, W.W. Woodward, 1816. Psalms 1815.
Hills #308.
This Bible was rebound in 1999 and is in excellent condition.
It is missing the main and OT title pages and was paginated
in a strange way during rebinding (Psalms at the beginning and
end of the volume, for example).
There is just one page, which is damaged and disbound,
containing family information. The other Memorandums
pages are blank, and some of them I think are missing.
Rootsweb databases place this family in Pennsylvania.
Transcribed by and in possession of Tracy St. Claire, aaf(a)ais.net.

I am looking for additional information for Dallas C. Chambers, born about 1893, death date may be 4/18/1957. Middle name may be Clark. He was the son of John H. and Tappy Ann Chambers, was born in Denton Co. TX, and spent most of his adult life in Dallas. The 1920 Dallas Co. census shows him as husband to Minnie, with his son Elton living with his grandparents. The 1930 Dallas county census shows Elton living with he and Minnie. He was a streetcar conductor and railroad claims agent, and was also a veteran of World War I. Minnie was born in Louisiana about 1897, and Elton was born in Texas about 1913. When his mother died in 1953, Dallas was living in Dallas TX.
