I agree with you that Phillip Chambers either had children or brothers that remained in Rowan Co and may have moved to Burke, Buncombe, and Haywood - I have the names of James, Elihu, Joseph, WIlliam. What do you have.
My great aunt by marriage is Kathleen Chambers Ford. She is the daughter of Henry Chambers, who is the son of Erwin Huston Chambers, who is the son of John Chambers, who is the son of Phillip Chambers, who is the son of Phillip Chambers and either Ms. Suggs or Salome Clubb of SC.

on 07/09/1887. Rose Etta's parents are: Samuel Snodgrass and Mary
CHAMBERS.
Dad remembers him as Samuel Morris Snodgrass.
