Hello Don. Thanks for sharing. Is Snodgrass one of your family surnames? If so, that is interesting that you would have both - Snodgrass and Chambers. At this time. I don't have anything else on our Chambers and Snodgrass kin. I will post as I learn more... checking with cousins from that side of the family.
Don, did you know that the Harrison surname is a strong surname among the Cherokees and is also found on the Cherokee Reservation in NC? I have met some HARRISONs who have this common Cherokee Heritage. The rich history of the Cherokees will show that they migrated to AR and MO in the 1800's. This is also very much a part of AR's and MO's rich history as well. I hope that this helps some in case you hadn't thought of that yet.
Thanks again. Happy Researching.
Peace and blessings.

Hello. As for our Snodgrass - Jacobs - Cobb family, according to other Snodgrass researchers, Mary Jane was daughter of Samuel Snodgrass and Mary Chambers, both of Ireland. William Snodgrass (b. ca 1828) was her oldest brother; Agnes was his wife, not Mary Jane's sister, but her sister-in-law. Her brother Samuel (b. May 1844) married Mary Spining Montfort. Other siblings were Margaret, Robert, and Elizabeth. They all moved from Crawford County, PA to McDonough County, IL. Mary Jane's parents were the Irish immigrants, I believe from County Cork, Ireland.
Frank and Bertha Jacobs, daughter Clara Bell Jacobs, son Marvin (Frank was the stepson of Mary Jane Snodgrass, as he is son of Erastus Jacobs' first marriage to Eliza Brown; he was born bet. 1863-1867, died 12 Aug 1942. His son Marvin married Bertha. Mary Jane Snodgrass. Rose Etta (married Robert Lee Cobb (descendent of Ambrose Cobbs of (Kent England)VA) married 1887) is the sister of Sarah Burton Jacobs.
Rose Etta Jacobs and Robert Lee Cobb are my paternal great-granparents.
I'd be happy to share.
Thanks again. Happy Researching.
Peace and blessings.

Kimberly,
I may not be able to hand you the whole family, but I believe that I might have a couple of pieces. My grandmother, Lillie Chambers married John Ansley in 1900. My head almost snapped when I saw your message. So I looked in my database. The direct connection that I have is actually on the Ansley side but I think I might have some clues on the Chambers also.
Annie Margret Ansley is my grandfather's neice. Since you are specifically asking about the Chambers family, I won't go into all the Ansley connections. But I find it particularly interesting that Annie's first cousin, Thomas Odalea Ansley married a Linda Cincinnati Chambers 2 July 1924 in Pine Ridge, Montgomery Co, AR. Linda's father was Perry George Washington Chambers and her mother was Martha Ann Harvey. Linda was born 5 Nov 1908 in Cherry Hill, Polk Co, AR. Do you think this is the right family?
I have not been able to directly connect these Chambers to my grandmother's family. I could check with another "cousin" to see if she has connected to any Chambers in Arkansas. Let me know.

Looking for information on my great-grandfather, Richard Chambers. He was born in the late 1880's or early 1890's. He married my great grandmother March 1922 in Hoxie Arkansas. Her name was Annie Margret Ansley. My grandmother believes her grandfather's name(Richard's father) was Perry Chambers and his mother was Martha Ann (my grandfather tells me her maiden name was Hicks, but it's not proven) Would appreciate any information at all..I have very little as you can see and would love to be able to share this with my grandmother!! Hi Chambers Researchers,
I have just completed creating a new Chambers web site. This site contains
my Chambers family genealogy, history, and photos.
Here is the address: http://crrking.tripod.com/chambersfamilygenealogy/
This site also contains links to other Chambers' web site - if you have a
site you want added, please let me know.
Also I created a guestbook so that Chambers researchers could post their
migration path, family info and brick walls.
So I hope you enjoy the site and please sign the Guestbook so that other
Chambers researchers will know you stopped by.

Well. for the first time I got taken in by a virus hoax. I am just a little
paranoid since Christie (my daughter) got a virus in her computer last week.
Thank goodness I didn't empty my trash bin. Apparently this is a file we all
need to make our machines run properly. If you did delete this file, try
this website:
http://www.symantic.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html
So sorry to have caused a stir.
Myra
I got this a few minutes ago, and did find two of the icons. I don't really
know if this is legit, but decided I had better not take a chance that is is
not.
I know I haven't sent mail to all of you lately. My address book is very out
of date. Hope this doesn't cause anyone any problems.
If I find this is a hoax and I have deleted something important from my
computer, I will gladly take all the flack. grin.
Myra
Someone sent me this message and told me to send to all on my address book.
When I did what she said, I did find that sulfnbk on my C drive. Since I
found it, it has gone out to all on my address book. Please! follow these
directions.
1. Go to "start"-then to "find and search."
(depending on your computer)
2. In the "search for files or folders " type in sulfnbk.exe-this is the
virus name.
3. In the " look in" make sure you're searching Drive C.
4 Hit the "search" button (or find)
5. If this file shows up {some say it's and ugly blackish icon that will
have that name. Mine was bright }
DO NOT OPEN IT!
6. RIGHT click on the file-go down to delete and LEFT click.
7. It will ask you if you want to send it to the recycle bin, click YES.
8. Go to your desktop (where all of your icons are) and double click on the
recycle bin.
9. Right click on sulfnbk and delete again, or best EMPTY THE BIN.!
If you find it send this e-mail to all of your address book. It picks up all
name from an address book and passes it on.
It escapes the normal virus programs, and then wipes out your hard drive in
about 2 weeks from the time you received it.
