Nadolig Llawen from the Cardiff branch of the Chambers family.
My name is Mick Chambers (b1955), son of Terence Raymond Chambers (b1932 d1989).
My father was the son of Dorothy Chambers and, I believe, Glyn Jones. He was raised by
Dorothy's parents Ruben (1888-1966) and Beatrice (nee Milman 1890-1964).
Ruben's parents were Edward and Elizabeth, Edward apparently moved to Wales from
Greenwich.
Elizabeth was from Swansea where they married in 1872. Beyond that I am not sure, I think
there
were other family members who were involved in the railways around South Wales, many
stories
but nothing proven yet.
If any of these people fit into your tree or the Greenwich branch features I would like to
hear from
you. I know it doesn't look much at present as my Mother's side of the family was
much easier to
trace so I concentrated there, it's now time to follow my Father's side, even if
it is not HIS father's!
Regards,
Mick.
