I've "rescued" an old photograph of Fern Gladys SMALL which was taken at
the
E. G. Cummings Studio in Lewiston, ID. The photograph appears to have been
taken in the 1890's with Fern appearing to be about 3-4 years old at the
time it was taken. Based on limited research and thanks to researchers I
was able to gather the following information regarding Fern and her family:
Fern Gladys SMALL was b. 13 May 1893 in Lewiston, ID to parents Ira Abbott
or Ambrose SMALL (b. 1848 in Maine-1923) and Mary Alice Clara CHAMBERLAIN or
CHAMBERLIN (b. 1857 in Oregon-1920). Fern was one of 5 children born to
this couple including, Mary Allice; Roy Chamberlain; Raymond; Earl; and Fern
Gladys SMALL also born between 1886 and 1896. Fern married Roy Alfred GAGE
(1890-1967) and together they had three children including daughters Marian
GAGE ABRECHT (1922-d. 2007 in Santa Barbara, CA); Marjorie Alice GAGE; and
Dorothy "Peg" Darlene GAGE (1925-2015) . The family moved to Portland, OR
during the depression. Fern died 31 Dec 1960 in Portland, OR.
Marian GAGE ABRECHT was married to James W. ABRECHT in 1945 had two sons,
David James and Andrew "Andy" Roy ABRECHT who were both living in California
when their Aunt died in 2015.
