Nathaniel A. (8) Chamberlin, born about 1833, Vermont, died after 1880, probably
Weathersfield, Windsor Co., VT, with wife Jennie and two children as you've listed
them, is the 4th of 6 known children of Alva (7) Chamberlin Jr., born 15 Apr 1793,
probably Weathersfield, died after 1870 probably there, who was married, 5 Apr 1819 there
to Sarah "Sally" Adams Demery or Demary, born about 1797, VT, died after 1870.
One can view census records for Alva between 1820 and 1870 in Weathersfield, with his son
Nathaniel listed with this family in 1860 & 1870. Alva Jr. is the eldest of 11
children of Alva (6) Chamberlin, born 14 Feb 1771, East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, died 3
Oct 1853, Westfield, Orleans Co., VT, who was married in 1792 in Westfield to Abigail
Stoughton, born 15 Dec 1774, East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, died 2 Feb 1855 in Westfield,
daughter of Nathaniel Stoughton and Abigail Potwine. The Chambrlin ancestral line of
descent is listed as: Oliver(5), Benjamin(4), Jos!
eph(3), William(2), Henry(1) Chamberlin - the oldest of the five original Ch'n
immigrant ancestors in early New England.
Alva (7) 1793 is identified as LN#2612 in the formally prepared Family Group Records of
the late David Conrad Chamberlin, Sr., which I use here and which are available for
viewing and downloading from the website of the World Chamberlain Genealogical Society
online. I urge you to view and download each of them on back to Henry(1). You will see,
however, that Nathaniel(8) is not listed among the children of Alva(7), but census data
prove he does belong to this family.
Please contact me, James B. Parker, at: jbparker(a)provide.net, if you wish to discuss this
information in greater detail. If you do contact me, Tiffanie, please advise me how you
are connected with this Chamberlin line, for my records here.
