Dear Lisa,
Thank you for your response to my message. I'm not sure, from your information, that
there are any connections between your Chamberlins/Birds and mine, but then I'm still
on the surface of searching and who knows what might show up?
My Birds and Chamberlins seem to have coalesced in New Jersey. The Chamberlins were
predominantly in North Jersey and the Birds in South Jersey--at least my branch of them.
But somewhere along the line, they must have gotten together--either lawfully or not so
lawfully!--and some of the Chamberlins ended up with the Bird DNA. Since it was the Bird
DNA that got transmitted to the Chamberlins and not the other way around, it means a male
Bird and a female Chamberlin must have done the job, or there was an adoption of a male
Bird into a Chamberlin family who took the Chamberlin name and then passed his Bird DNA
onto his progeny.
At any rate, it's a fascinating search. Thanks for your input and if you come across
any other clues, I'd love to hear from you.
Pat
