My, what an intriguing "handle" - "Boisterouscat" didn't provide
his/her name, but since I have a detailed lineage for this Ch'n family listed in my
records, I just sent her an Email reply, asking about her real name, and detailing my own
[Chamberlin, Day, Baldwin, etc.]genealogical ancestral connections with this same
Chamberlin family. I provided her with the ancestral line of descent for Theresa's
father: Charles Franklin(7) Chamberlin, who married 2nd) Fannie L. Shippey - [Levi Day(6),
Lt. Benjamin(5), Capt. John(4), Joseph(3), William(2), Henry(1)] Chamberlin of Hingham
& Hull, Massachusetts. Henry Chamberlin "the blacksmith" was the oldest of
the five original Chamberlain/lin immigrant ancestors in early New England, whose origins
in England remain unknown despite almost a century of intensive research in parish and
other records there, as most Chamberlain/lin researchers are aware.
I also corresponded, a couple of years ago, with Madonna Smith Capra, in the line of
Theresa's presumed (unproven relationship) sister, Lillian Maude Chamberlin
(1871-1924), wife of Lewis Eugene Smith - I have considerable data here for that branch of
the family, too. Anyone else interested in this line (or any other Chamberlain/lin line
for that matter - I research them all!) is welcome to contact me via Email, James B.
