Message Board Post:
Looking for further information on Harry H. Chamberlin, who lived in the 1840's. He
was on the Parker H. French wagon train to the California Gold Rush (1850). What I have is
information briefly documenting his death, as offered in my g-g-grandfather's journal,
soon to be published. The spelling ending "lin" was new to me, and I post here
for the first time, hoping this spelling is the reason I have not connected yet. Four men
with the same or similar surnames were documented in various places as being on the Parker
French wagon train. In one place, they are presented in pairs, and the one offered in
proximity to Harry H. Chamberlin, is named Crowell Chamberlin. Father and son were on the
train together, so Crowell is presumed to be the father of Harry, who died.
