Hi Fran,
I still have a problem with the family of Edmund Chamberlain and Elizabeth
Kingsley. They married 20 Nov 1766 in Woodstock, CT. There are 3 different
entries in the LDS family search program - one says their 12 children were
born in Woodstock, CT, another says Woodstock, VT, and the third says they
were born in Sturbridge, MA. I have looked at the town vital records for
all
three towns. I found birth records for the first 5 children in Woodstock,
CT
(Rufus, Lucinda, Ralph, Elisabeth, Edmund), but not the other 7 (Jonathan,
Nancy, Susanna, Adonijah, Wyllis, Myra, Experience) . I found no birth
records for any of them in Woodstock, VT (those records were barely legible)
or in Sturbridge, MA. However, the family did have ties to the other two
places, as some of them lived in Sturbridge later on, and my Elisabeth
(Betsey), who was the 4th one of the 12, was married in a town near
Woodstock, VT. I'd love to figure out where the later siblings were born
and
trace their families.
Best wishes,
Sara Levi
