Hello All
Recently I was given an offical paper from the NH Adjutant Generals Office on
my Gr Grandfather Jacob Chamberlain. Below I will type in what it actually
states on it. But my question(s) are as follows:
where would I be able to get more information on his death certificate,
because he died from the battle of Fredericksburg, was buried in VA, but he
came from Peterborough NH. I was hoping that his death certificate would
tell me who his parents were. I have sent for copies of his birth and
marriage certificates, only to be told that they were not listed anywhere in
those counties in the states where they were to have taken place.
