Thanks so much, Beverly, for checking for me. It was
so kind of you to offer. In the meantime, Susan
continues to remain a mystery to me--a mystery I plan
on solving!

Hi,
I searched through my 5 volumes of the Chamberlain
Chain and found a lot
of Susan's but none that were born in 1810 and from
NY. So, sorry!
Sincerely, Beverly in
Washington State

Hi!
Would you look up Susan Chamberlain for me? Her
date
of birth was 4/12/1810 (I'm not absolutely sure
about
the month and the day) and she died 5/3/1887. I
believe that she lived in Delaware County, NY
before
moving with her husband, Nathaniel K. Teed, and
children to Wisconsin. Family legend has it that
she
is the granddaughter of John Langdon, Signer of the
US
Conctitution and a former governor of New
Hampshire.
I have not been able to find any documentation to
that
and it may just be a legend and not fact. I have
been
unable to find out anything about Susan's and
Nathaniel's parents.
Thank you for your time and I'll keep my fingers
crossed that there is something about Susan in your
books.
