Any lister able to advise what happened (marriages/deaths?) for these Chalmers daughters
of William, railway platelayer/supervisor, and Margaret nee McIntosh, Mains Street,
Lockerbie. In the 1881 census they were:
Jessie 13; Maggie 10; Mary Elizabeth 7; Wilhelmina 4. Possibly all married by 1901 census
or 1905 if working away. Not at home with mother in 1901 census, 11 Union Street.
A daughter Jane, b.1866, does not appear in 1881 census – died ?
Margaret Mcintosh had a daughter Janet McIntosh, prior to marriage, and she found in 1881
census as servant girl 20, at The Manse, Dryfesdale, for Robert Hill White and family.
Any advice appreciated. Les and Gloria, Napier, New Zealand.
