Message Board Post:
I am looking for information about Mary L. Chalmers and her family. Mary
L. Chalmers was born in 1850 and was living in Washington, DC in 1922 with
cousins, Marcus Baldwin and Emma A. Conkey.
She was injured and survived the Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, January
28, 1922, in Washington, DC. Her name appears in newspapers of the time,
and the Memorial Booklet. Her name appears in the 1920 census for the
District of Columbia, she was 70 years old and living with cousins Marcus
Baldwin and Emma Conkey.
I am writing a book about the disaster and would appreciate any
information anyone can provide about her. Many thanks.
