Hi List,
This is probably a hopeless quest but heregoes.
Has anyone seen my great grandfather who was mislaid (?) by his wife sometime in the late
19th early 20th century?
He claimed in the 1891 census to have been born in Aberaman, Glamorgan - can not find him
on the 1881 nor his wife and children. Date of birth approx. 1856 (re: by 1891 census).
Married Jane Pritchard in Brynmawr, Breconshire 1874. They had 8 children to my knowledge
first one was born in 1876 last in the early 1890's.
Family legend is that he
a) came from Somerset (my family can be very vague sometimes <vbg>)
b) left his wife, went to the USA and remarried.
c) his father was George, Henry or George Henry - he claims Henry on his marriage
certificate..
Regarding a) I would have thought this to be a generation out and that it was more likely
that his parents were the Somerset connection.
Point b) - I don't mind where he ended up - I would just love to kill him off.
Point c) - I did warn you they're vague didn't I?
So please - if anyone should spot him lurking somewhere can they send him back to me - I
would appreciate it very much:-))
Many thanks
Louise
