My great grandmother Charlotte CHALK shows up in the 1881 British census in
Woodford, Wiltshire, England, with only her and her widower father George
making up the household. She is 25 and father is 68 there.
Later that same year, October 4, Charlotte married my great grandfather
Henry DYMER, who was born in Bulford, Wiltshire, in Port Elgin, Ontario,
Canada. I feel sure that these two knew each other in England, and had
arranged to meet again in Ontario.
That is the sum of my CHALK ancestor knowledge. I have no knowledge of how
either the DYMERS or Miss CHALK came to Canada, other than a time frame.
