Hello,
I see, unless mistaken, that Lynda in Texas is sending you a copy of 'the
Chalk Family of England and America 1066-1942"
Mine has just arrived - maybe this will help elucidate the missing links!
There is years' worth of research material in it!
I suspect 'my' William of Rochester, Milton, and/or Canterbury is related to
the 'cpt' William ..as his trade was haberdasher/linen merchant' ...
connected I assume (correctly??) with the trade of cpt William's ship.
I may endeavour to scan and put the text into a searchable form - but that's
for the rainy days ahead!
My best regards
Mark Chalk

Dear John,
Find a link with the Cambridgeshire and Essex CHALKs, and we're in
business!
