Subject: General Robert E. Lee's Boyhood Home Sold

On Friday, March 3, General Robert E. Lee's Boyhood Home was CLOSED to the
public after 30 years as a museum. The Lee-Jackson Foundation SOLD it to
a
multimillionaire couple as their private home, NOT open
to the public. The sale was totally secret until it was a "done deal".
The
house was never publicly on the market, and the millionaire buyer
asked
the
Foundation to keep the sale confidential. The purpose of this website
is
to
spread the word about this heritage outrage and mobilize support to
maintain
the museum for the public.
Won't you take a moment, visit the website and, if so inclined, place
your
name on the petition lending support to VA.'s Atty. Gen. who has
taken the
bold step of investigating this action by people that feel their money
gives
them the right to appropriate this National Treasure
and deny the public free access to a Historic Landmark?
