A Dykes/Rutland researcher came across a book dealing with death dates of Masons in MS and
a James Dykes was listed as having died in 1873, I believe. I forget the particulars, off
hand, but the lodge was near old Williamsburg. Since there were two James Dykes, we
can't be sure which one this is. There isn't a Masonic stone at Little Jim's
grave.
I was using 1874 because of the age of the youngest Dykes child in 1880. She was 6, but
she could have been b in 1873 and Jemima could have been pregnant when Jim died.
