I'm sure that we're all related. You might want to look at the Pennsylvania
Archives copies of Revolutionary War pay cards. There are several Chains listed. You can
find it at
www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us/archive/asp.
You might also be interested in the list of burials at the Boone Family Cemetery at Ginger
Ridge, Adams Co., Ohio:

correct), Ireland 02-124-1739/40, died 01-20-1818 Tyrone Twp, Fayette Co., PA married
Margaret (last nm unknown) born 03-03-1754 in PA, died 11-16-1825 Tyrone Tsp, Fayette Co.,
PA.
Generation 2: John Chain, born 02-14-1766 PA. died before 193-. Tyrone Twp, Fayette, PA.
married Isabell (last name unknown), born about 1775 in Ireland, died 05-20-1864 Tyrone
Twp, Fayette Co., PA, buried May, 1864, Bullskin
Twp, Fayette Co., PA.
Generation 3: James Chain, born about 1791 KY, died 04-1854 Sardinia, Brown Co., OH,
married Margery Nicholson, born about 1796 in PA, died about 1840, Brown Co., OH.
Generation 4: Robert Chain, born 01-28-1814 Fayette Co., PA, died 1902 Adams Co., OH
(buried in Ginger Ridge Cemetery, Adams Co., OH) married Mary Dehart Boone, daughter of
John Boone and Margaret "Peggy" Cooper Boone, born 09-15-1814 died 09-18-1897
(buried in Ginger ridge Cemeter, Adams Co., OH).
Generation 5: Robert Nelson Chain, born 10-26-1862 Manchester, Adams Co., OH, died
11-10-1906 Manchester, Adams Co., OH. Married Mary Frances Moore (born 06-28-1871 Fleming
Co., KY, died 07-12-1919 (buried in Vine St. Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH). Married
on12-12-1888 in Flemingsburg, Fleming Co., KY.
Generation 6: Marion Dennis Chain, born 11-18-1894 South Ripley, KY, died March 4, 1921,
5 days after the birth of his only child, of wounds received two years early in the Battle
of the Argonne, during WW1, when he was shot in the face, the bullet going in one side of
his jaw and out the other. Marion married Georgia Gladys McDonald. "Gladys"
was born 01-02 between1892 and 1898 in South Ripley, KY and died on 06-29-1969, and is
buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Newport, Campbell Co., KY. Marion had one brother,
Vernon Chain, now deceased. Marion was buried in the evergreen Cemetery, Newport, KY.
After Marion's death, Gladys married Fred Carter, who is also deceased. Gladys and
Fred had no children.
