You can also buy it in microfilm form from the Library of Congress. My
cousins did.

Hi Mike and Marcia, the NEHGS is available thru the LDS Church. That
is
where I found the article on Rachel Puffer vs Miriam Harmon. The volume
number is 151(1997 issue)and the pages are 31-37. You can also buy the
CHAFFEE GENEALOGY BOOK from
Higginson.com or thru the LDS Church because
they have microfisched the book. Or you might be lucky and find it in a
major library but I just recently put in my order for the book thru
Higginson.com genealogy books. I know I am a direct ancestor to Thomas
Chaffe from 1637 but have been unable to find any more info on Thomas,
where
he lived in England, his parents, his wife(Dorothy??), what ship he
came
over on, etc. Very frustating!! I do know that the first time he is
ACTUALLY
known being in Hingham, MA is from documents held in the Town Clerks
Office
in Hingham, MA and those documents are of land grants from township
to
Thomas in July 1637 for land to build a home and farm. He WAS NOT there in
1635. So thanks for email. Please contact me anytime. Sincerely, Terry W.
