The 1870 census found for Ezra and wife Madalene would not show Oscar as he was born in
1873. I have not found census showing him with them. I did find marriage record with
Ezra and Magdaline as Oscar's parents. The 1900 census shows them in Indian
Territory, aged 60 and 61. My Dad was born in Venita, Okla. I plan to go to the library
and see if I can find records of family prior to 1900 in that area. I can find Indian
records but so far nothing of white settlers. Magdaline matches family history as when I
married a Martin, Dad told me his grandmother was the daughter of a minister named Martin.
I found her on John Martin, preacher, census 1850. Part of the family history is
forklore but enough seems correct to have me believe I am following the right
"thread". Would appreciate your response as I am a beginner at all this. I am
finding it fascinating. I also found Ezra and Magdaline on same page as Robert Chaffee,
1860 census.
