Hello Nancy,
I found this one on the IGI in Familysearch:
Lydia Ann Chadwick, christening July 6, 1845 in Mottram-in-Longdendale,
Cheshire, England.
Father Azariah Chadwick, mother Hannah.
This would indicate that she may have been younger than you suppose (very common
for under-age girls to add on a few years - unlike us oldies who take them off!)
or christened late. Unfortunately, there is no source at all given for this
entry, and the parish registers would have to be checked. It may be worth asking
on the Cheshire mailing list if anyone has access to them, if you think it worth
pursuing.

Subject: Lydia Ann Chadwick
Searching for the parents and birthplace of Lydia Ann Chadwick. I
have her
birth date as 5 Feb 1840. She may have been born in Monmouth County, NJ or
in
England. She married Joseph Riter Nelson in Utah Territory in 1858. One
daughter, Elizabeth, was born in Utah on 22 September 1859. The other 14
children were born in Iowa and Missouri. I have searched for years and found no
additional clues to her origin. On her death certificate a daughter stated
Lydia was born in England. My grandfather said she was born in Red Bank,
Monmouth County, NJ. I have been unable to verify either place. Any help will
be appreciated very much.
