My father's side are also the Chadwick's (William abt. 1822) from Shropshire,
England. His wife Eunice (b. 1828) was born in Cheshire and their children Joseph (b.
1851) and Sarah (b. 1853)both born in Cheshire, Macclesfield. They left England around
1870 and lived in NY. Sarah (Jane) is my great-grandmother.
Any connection?

Subject: [CHADWICK] Richard CHADWICK New Zealand
Hello Everyone,
I am researching the family of Richard CHADWICK, born about 1822 Ireland,
married 1852 Cape of Good Hope, South Africa to Hanora Ayre/Eyre/Haire and
emigrated to New Zealand in 1855 with their daughter Mary Josephine.
Richard and Hanora had 4 more children in New Zealand, Auckland district,
Margaret, Agnes, Bridget and a son. The son was not named on any
documents, but was listed on the Death certificate of both Richard and
Hanora as alive, eg: Male 33 yrs old when his father died in 1889.
I have been trying to find out about this son for quite some time now. I
have purchased quite a few certificates, all with no luck. I am wondering
if anyone on this list knows anything about the family. New Zealand
Birth
Death and Marriage indexes do not show the parents names, and you cannot
search on the father's name, so it has been quite difficult to find him.
I also think that he may have had a daughter Kathleen, as a cousin
remembers
that there was a 'cousin Kathleen' who came to visit them.
I do hope someone might know something about this family.
Regards
Judy
