1. REPLIES TO Chadbourne-L(a)Rootsweb.com
Replies to messages seen on this Chadbourne-List now go to all who've
subscribed, as I'd requested of the fine lady below who's our mailing List
administrator. (Earlier exchanges didn't go far, because no one could see
the answers of the others. Further, those of us capable of answering a
question couldn't see if it had already been answered sufficiently.) There
MAY be one exception to this automatic routing. It may be that if you
entered a Reply-To field when you set up your present e-mail program, that
may over-ride the auto-reply to List. At least that's what happens with
some Lists. You have the option of clearing out your "Reply To:" field.
If you do, your <username> will get the reply.

I think this is set to reply to the list now. < <snip>
2. REVAMPED CHADBOURNE WEBSITE
I've just asked the Board of Directors to check out our revamped website,
http://www.chadbourne.org. We wish to thank first, Kay Ritter, who kindly
introduced us to the Dreamweaver software we now use for our web page
authoring, and who provided interim space for us on her master website.
www.chadbourne.org automatically forwards - now to a host site in Portland,
Maine where we have no expense or advertising, and which doesn't try to
write "cookies" on your computer. Having our own website name that's easy
to remember (".org", remember?) has fine advantages though presently we're
not able to have simple URLs once we get to our real site, such as
"..www.chadbourne.org\libraries".
Our new, principal webmaster, Herbie Geiler (the guy
with the Macintosh computer at our 2001 Reunion) has
learned the website authoring tool "Dreamweaver" and
made significant updates and improvements at
http://www.chadbourne.org.
Herb and I will appreciate your checking it out and reporting
in one e-mail (to Herbie* and to me) what you think now
and what needs further work. A CD review is included.
