I've "rescued" an old photograph of Annie H. PEAKS. There is no studio or
location included on the photograph, however it was recovered along with
others belonging to students from Wellesley College. In addition to her
name, someone has written "Agora" and "1896" on the back of the
photograph
to indicate that she belonged to the Class of 1896 at Wellesley and was a
member of the Agora Debate & Literary Society at Wellesley. The photograph
was likely taken in the 1890's with Annie appearing to be in her teens at
the time it was taken.
Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information
regarding Annie and her family:
Annie Hamblen PEAKS was b. about 1876 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to parents
Joseph B. PEAKS (b. 1860) and Eliza CHADBOURNE. Annie had a brother,
Francis Chadbourne PEAKS b. 1874 and died 1974. Annie married William s.
KENNEY in Chicago, IL. Annie died in Dover-Foxcroft, ME before 1965.

returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you
know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
