ERVING — Henrietta J. (Chabot) Sokoloski, 84, of 19 Lillians Way died Tuesday (8-20-02) at
home.
Born in Plainfield, Dec. 7, 1917, she was the daughter of William and Delia (Rouillard)
Chabot. She attended Plainfield schools. She had been a resident of Erving for more than
40 years.
Sokoloski was employed by the former Millers Falls Co. in Greenfield for 40 years,
retiring in 1979.
She was a communicant of St. John’s Church in Millers Falls.
She enjoyed retirement, traveling, golfing and bowling.
Her husband, Walter Sokoloski, died June 10, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Wayne R. Thayer and his wife, Barbara, of Turners Falls; two
brothers, Raymond Chabot of Greenfield and Edward Chabot of Turners Falls; three
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Church
with the Rev. Dennis Bombardier, pastor, celebrant. Burial will follow in Our Lady of
Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls.
Calling hour at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, will be
Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St.,
Springfield, MA 01105, or to St. John’s Church, 5 Church St., Millers Falls, MA 01349.
