Hi, the October issue is coming out a week early in
observation of Hispanic
Heritage Month. There are many events which have
happened, and many still
ahead.
On the East Coast, one of the kick-off events in
D.C., September 15th was
reported by Dr. JV Martinez, Salute to Hispanic WWII
Veterans of America. On
the West Coast in L.A. a flag raising is planned on
October 2, for the Eugene A.
Obregon monument honoring 40 Medal of Honor
Recipients. Don't miss a review
of Gil Dominguez's book, They Answered the Call,
based on interviews with 21
Hispanic Vietnam veterans.
Besides festivals, there are numerous

scheduled for October.
