I am forwarding this information on to all my lists. Somos Primos has many great articles
on the Hispanic Heritage. And don't balk at the word Hispanic - it covers peoples from
the USA, Mexico, Cuba, Caribbean to Spain to Mexico to ANYWHERE and wherever the Spanish
influence is present.
Hope You ALL Are Having An Excellent Day!
Your ListMom,
Dani

Dear Primos, friends, and researchers, another full issue. In response to expressed
interest and inclusiveness, two new categories have been added to the March issue,
Indigenous and Black. Also the lead article deals with Sephardic connections.
In addition to numerous articles/tidbits pertaining to indigenous research, John Schmal
(JohnnyPJ(a)aol.com) has written a highly informative article, The Diversity of Indigenous
Mexico.
Dr. Granville Hough (gwhough(a)earthlink.com), in his continued Spanish Patriots studies
contributed Spanish Patriots of the Philippines in Spain's 1779-1783 War with England
During the American Revolution. This should be of particular interest to Filipino
researchers.
Lots and lots of helpful websites were contributed by Johanna de Soto. They are found
throughout the issue.
Miscellaneous has 21 articles/tidbits.
Although the Society of Hispanic Historical Society is based in Orange County, CA, we have
supporters who represent us in other parts of the country too. They welcome questions.
Michael Salinas (MikhailSal(a)aol.com) in New York contributed the Sephardic information.
Patricia A. Navarrette-Larson (tido(a)execpc.com) from Chicago wrote the article, A
Journey of Family Discovery in Guadalajara and Michoacan. Arturo Cuellar
(CCuellar30(a)aol.com) lives in El Paso, Texas and has connections with archivists in San
Luis Potosi. Salena Ashton (
salena_ashton.hotmail.com) lives in Utah and coordinates our
networking database.
