Thank you for your input, our list is very small so do not expect to much traffic, hope we
can pick up more in the near future, I printed out your list, I see you also have
Casares, Reyes and Quintero, going onto my tree and see if we have a link, sure hope we
do.
My line migrated to California (Chino) in the early 1900 and up to the San Francisco area,
I was born in Chino raised in the San Fernando Valley before coming to Kansas.
Do you have the Spanish-Mexican Families of Early California by Marie E. Northrop ? they
are great, have found a lot of my lines in them.
Anyway hope we can keep in touch, again thanks for your response.

MARIA QUINTERO 17 Jun 1909 in La Iglesia de Vetagrande, Panuco, Zacatecas,
Mexico, daughter of PASCUAL QUINTERO and MARIA REYES. She was born 02 Feb
1892 in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Mexico, and died 18 Nov 1969 in Cincinnati,
OH.

According to LDS microfilm reel # 0798977:
"In Zacatecas, on December 2, 1889, at 12 o'clock noon, there appeared
before the Municipal Judge of the State, Canuto A. Tostado (sp?), Feliciano
Cervantes, single, and "mayor de edad" , of this vicinity "y espuso: que
pide se haga constas (?) que "the living baby boy he presents is his own
natural son ["hijo natural"] who was born in this city [Zacatecas,
Zacatecas] on the 15th day of November at 2 o'clock in the morning, and
that he gave him the name Carlos. The paternal grandparents are Antonio
Cervantes and Rosa Figueroa. Witnesses to this act were Regino Avila and
Ascencion Luna, both single, "operarios, mayores de edad y de esta
vecindad."
....translated by Feliciano's great-granddaughter, Mary Louise Cervantes, on
October 18, 1999.
Marriage entry for Carlos Casares aka Carlos Cervantes (Sr.), b. 15 Nov
1889, according to LDS Reel # 1092767, entry #319:
" In the Church of Vetagrande, parish of Panuco, on the 17 of June, 1909,
I, Pbro. Buenaventura C. Quintero, ... Carlos Casares, single, age 19,
originally from Zacatecas 'y vecino de Vetagrande,' natural son of
Feliciano Cervantes and Maria Cleofas Casares, living, and with Maria
Quintero, celibate, 16 years of age, originally from Guadalupe 'y vecina de
Vetagrande' since infancy, legitimate daughter of Pascual Quintero,
deceased, and Maria Felix Reyes, living. Fueron padrinos: Francisco Acevedo
y Juana Alvarado. Witnesses were:Teodor Garcia y Francisco ____

Source of the Date of Death for Carlos Casares aka Carlos Cervantes:
Application for U.S. Naturalization for Maria Quintero De La Luz in which
she states her first husband died April 15, 1915.

Maria Quintero was born February 2, 1892, in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Zac.,
Mexico, according to LDS Reel #0799747, entry #143, page 35 of the civil
record.
She was presented by her maternal grandfather, Feliciano Reyes, who stated
that she was the daughter of Pascual Quintero and Maria Felix Reyes.
Her parents, Pascual Quintero and Maria Felix Reyes were married May 16,
1885, in Guadalupe de Zacatecas, Zac. according to LDS Reel # 283354, entry
#465, p. 281 of Vol. 1,no.1.
