The USGenWeb Census Project would like to extend
our thanks to both Cathy Gowdy of the Marin County
California Genealogical Society and to Jana Black
the County Coordinator for Marin County California
USGenWeb Project for their assistance in getting
that counties census records online.
==========================================
The USGenWeb Census Project would like to
commend John MacDonald, one of the first people
to volunteer for the project, for completing the 1870
Mercer County Pennsylvania census transcription.
This is two rolls of microfilm in a highly populated
area near Youngstown, Ohio.

Call for Census CD-ROMs. Do you have census CD-ROMs
that you no longer need? We can use them for
transcription of the Censuses to be placed on the
internet, available to all for no charge. Some CD
publishers will allow us to publish the CD images
on the net. Others will not. However the CD can be
used by a volunteer transcribing the data to be
placed in the USGebWeb Archives as well as on the
USGenWeb Census project site located at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~cenfiles
These are available free to anyone with internet
access. IF you have nay CD's available please
advise our coordinator for recruitment and Training,
Earnie R. Breeding at firefighter635(a)ga.prestige.net
He will make arrangements for obtaining the CD from
you and getting it to a transcriber.
