Hi Everyone,
Well it seems that RootsWeb is taking a LONG two weeks to get this
transition completed. I'm sending this because my email is buried in
questions about what is going on online.
From
http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/help.cgi (Where I would appreciate you
sending comments/questions about the pages all being down not to my personal
email. I'm sorry I can't do anything about it.):
"The following resources are currently disabled or will be soon, due to the
upgrading: any websites beginning
www.rootsweb.com (including our main
page), websites on Freepages, RootsWeb Surname List (RSL), Archiver
(browsable mailing list archives), and mailing lists on lists3 and lists5
(which will also impact list administrator functions for those lists), and
most versions of File Manager (online editors). During the the transition,
Password Central may show some incomplete listings, especially for Post-em
Notes."
This means I can't upload or download anything on any of the census or
archives pages and right now the pages are down totally but hopefully will
be viewable again soon. On the up side the pages where they have completed
the transition are working much faster and more efficiently.
Regards,
Maggie
