I'm doing research into my BYRNE family who appear to come from the
I'm descended from Michael BYRNE a convict who was imprisoned in
Kildare in 1797 and sent here to NSW in 1800.
I am now gathering information on his siblings William, Ellenor and the
above ROSETTA who married a ? Woodworth.
My Michael was born around 1775 and brother William was born in
Bracknagh Co. Offaly in 1780 according to his documents from the Royal
I'm now trying to find out who/where/when Rosetta married Mr. Woodworth
and if they had any children. I'm not sure when Rosetta was born around the
same time or similar as her two brothers I think.
I know she was in Dublin City in 1827 as her brother Michael left her some
money in his will when he died in 1827 here in Sydney. Ellenor was living
in London at the same time as she too was left something and William was
living in High St. Woolwich as he was a publican at the Hampshire Hogg.
If there is anyone who can suggest how I can find out any information on
Rosetta I would be very grateful. To my knowledge the family were Catholic
and I'm guessing that maybe the problem with finding Rosettas marriage.
I'm still trying to find William, Michael, Ellenor and Rosetta's births
and parents in the various area's of Offaly, Kildare. Any help is very much
appreciated kind regards Dianna from Sydney
