It would help if you gave the birth date and spouse of Fred J Cecil, Sr, and
James Curtis Cecil-just so your cousins don't give you the wrong
information.

Subject: Cecils in Kentucky and MD
I am starting my family tree and need help locating more information on my
ancestors. My father was Fred J. Cecil, Jr. (deceased), my grandfather was
Fred J. Cecil, Sr. (deceased) and my great-grandfather was James Curtis
Cecil (deceased). That is as far back as I have been able to locate. My
father and grandfather always said the Cecils came over from England to
Maryland, and then our branch moved to Nelson County, Kentucky to build St.
Joseph Cathedral. The heritage is Catholic. Any help would be very
appreciated.
