I will get back to you when I can with whatever I have that might be of interest to you. I
am traveling a lot most days,
either around Southern California or to points as far north as
Marysville.
I fly past Delano on US 99 a lot and have always wondered who Cecil Ave was named after?
One of yours? Maybe a link to one of mine?
My family got to Visalia somewhere between 1856 and 1860. They traveled from Arkansas with
the Parker train that traveled with the Fancher Train, of Mountain Meadows Massacre fame.
My group stopped at Ft. Bridger so William Cecil's wife could give birth (see 1860
Census) to a little girl.
This birth stop allowed them to miss the massacre.
Got to go...piles of paperwork are screaming at me.
